PJ’s Surf Shop Pre-Loved – Terms & Conditions
By submitting an item to PJ’s Surf Shop to be advertised or sold on your behalf, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Store credit only
PJ’s Surf Shop does not make cash payments for items sold on behalf of customers.
Once your item has been sold and the transaction has been completed, you will receive PJ’s Surf Shop credit for the net value of the sale after all applicable costs and fees have been deducted.
Credit can be redeemed in-store or online at PJ’s Surf Shop and cannot be exchanged for cash.
2. Fees & deductions
The amount credited to you will be the final selling price less any costs associated with the sale.
These may include, where applicable:
- PayPal processing fees
- Klarna processing fees
- Debit/credit card and other payment transaction fees
- Online payment or e-commerce transaction fees
- Any agreed postage, packaging or delivery costs
- Any other direct costs incurred by PJ’s Surf Shop in completing the sale
The remaining balance after these deductions will be issued as PJ’s Surf Shop credit.
3. Ownership
By submitting an item for sale, you confirm that:
- You are the legal owner of the item and have the right to sell it.
- The item is not stolen, subject to finance or owned by another person.
- The description and information you provide about the item are accurate to the best of your knowledge.
PJ’s Surf Shop reserves the right to refuse any item.
4. Condition & descriptions
Pre-loved items are sold as used unless specifically stated otherwise.
Any known damage, repairs, faults or defects must be disclosed to PJ’s Surf Shop before the item is advertised.
PJ’s Surf Shop may photograph, describe and advertise the item on its website, social media or other sales channels.
5. Selling price
The advertised price will be agreed between the seller and PJ’s Surf Shop.
PJ’s Surf Shop will not reduce the agreed selling price without the seller’s permission, unless a different arrangement has been agreed beforehand.
6. Returns, refunds & disputes
Where PJ’s Surf Shop is legally required to accept a return, issue a refund, process a payment dispute or deal with a chargeback relating to the sale, the seller’s credit may be withheld, cancelled or adjusted accordingly.
If credit has already been issued, PJ’s Surf Shop reserves the right to deduct the relevant amount from any credit balance where reasonably necessary.
7. Payment / credit
Store credit will only be issued once PJ’s Surf Shop considers the sale completed and cleared funds have been received.
Credit will be calculated from the actual amount received from the sale after applicable fees and costs.
8. Unsold items
Unsold items remain the property of the seller.
The seller may request the return of an unsold item, subject to any costs or commitments already incurred in relation to an agreed sale.
9. Liability
PJ’s Surf Shop will take reasonable care of items left with us. However, items are left for sale subject to these terms and any limitations on liability permitted by law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.
10. Acceptance
By leaving an item with PJ’s Surf Shop or asking us to advertise an item through our Pre-Loved service, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
